To assist people transitioning out of homelessness by providing them with donated furniture and household items.
We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity that qualifies for the Arizona Working Poor Tax Credit.
We collect furniture and household items and distribute them to people who are transitioning out of homelessness. Recipients are referred to us by several agencies that help them obtain housing in Tempe, Arizona or just outside the Tempe borders.
Recipients meet us at our storage units where they select items for their new apartments. We then deliver these items and help our recipients to set up their new homes.
We also support Alice's Mobile Food Pantry which operates 7 days a week, helping many individuals and families in need. Each night at 8:30 pm, volunteers pick-up donated food from Target. The items are then distributed to several locations in the east valley to approximately 150 people each week. (Distribution schedule.) In 2012, 112,438 lbs of food which has a market value of $186,647 were distributed by Alice and her volunteers!
